Senior software engineer - IP Signaling (SIP) Protocol Specialist

MISSION

• Keeper of company’s expertise in signaling and streaming IP protocols, applied to voice, video and multimedia transmission over the Internet
• Technical specifications, development and maintenance of signaling/streaming code stacks
• Implementation of new features in the SIP stack
• Report to the VP Engineering

• M.Sc. degree in computer-related subject, with research or post qualification experience in VoIP
• Inquisitive mind, technical curiosity, strongly team-oriented, "getting things done" attitude
• Ease of communication, in a multi-departments, multi-cultural and international environment
• Fluent spoken and written English and French

• In-depth knowledge of current developments and trends in IP protocol signaling (SIP, MGCP, RTP protocols), current standardization activities and future trends
• Practical use of modern software development methods (OO design, UML)
• Programming languages & platforms and technologies: Windows, Linux, C, C++, XML, SOAP
• Practical experience with code management and build systems (CVS, Subversion, Makefile) and scripting environments (Bash, Cygwin, Python)
• Some familiarity with voice and video signal processing
• 5+ years of professional experience in the industry; some experience in project management
