Senior Software Engineer - IP Signaling Protocol Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of company?s expertise in signaling and streaming IP protocols, applied to voice, video and multimedia transmission over the Internet
• Technical specifications, development and maintenance of signaling/streaming code stacks.

Skill set & experience:

• In-depth knowledge of current developments and trends in IP Protocol Signaling (SIP, MGCP, RTP protocols), current standardization activities and future trends
• Practical use of modern software development methods (oo design, UML)
• Programming languages &  platforms and technologies: Windows, Linux, C, C++, XML, SOAP, SQL
• Some familiarity with voice and video signal processing
• Professional experience in the industry; some experience in project management.

Academic and general qualifications:
EPFL (or equivalent) degree in computer-related subject, with research or post qualification experience in VOIP.

Language skills:
French and English (spoken and written).

Reports to the VP Engineering.

Swiss citizenship or valid Swiss Work Permit,

Salary: Commensurate with position and experience.
