Main advantages of softphones compared to hard phones is that they accentuate cost reduction and introduce more simplicity and flexibility.

By using hardware phones, you remain exposed to installation costs and hardware maintenance. With softphones, everything can be done remotely by software and do not need any physical presence for support. For example, you may completely install or upgrade your softphones by remote access.

Does eyeP Media complies to the latest telephony standards ? |

All eyeP Media products follow standards defined by ITU or IETF working groups like SIP, SIMPLE and others. This is probably one of the key benefit of our technology, compared to most other solutions using proprietary protocols or technologies, forcing end-users to stay within their own community.

Which peripherals could be used with eyeP Media products ? |
|
Generally, all peripherals like webcams, headsets, handsets, audio devices, SIP hardphones are supported. All peripheral devices rely on the Operating System layer to communicate through the software driver supplied by the manufacturer. They interface to the OS over a common port like USB, WiFi, BlueTooth, parallel or serial.
If they are recognized and supported by the OS, then eyeP Media products will support the peripheral. However, it might be the case that some particular devices, particularly the handsets, are only partially recognized by the OS. In such case, eyeP Media provides a handset plugin, which allows to redefine the assignment of keys and buttons.

Are there any restrictions to use Chinese language family localization ? |
|
eyeP Media products fully support Chinese family languages localization as we use Unicode characters encoding. For Windows 98 OS versions some restrictions apply due to their lack of Unicode support. |
